ISRO defers PSLV C-15 launch
Marginal drop in pressure in the second stage of the launch vehicle noticed during mandatory checks leads to the postponement of May 9, 2010 launch of the PSLV.

NEW DELHI (BNS): Indian space agency ISRO has put off the launch of its PSLV C-15 rocket to a later date.
The Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle was scheduled to be launched on May 9, 2010.
“A marginal drop in the pressure in second stage of the vehicle was noticed during the mandatory checks carried out on the PSLV-C15 vehicle. The new date for the launch of PSLV-C15 mission will be decided after preliminary results of the analysis are obtained," ISRO said in a statement.
The PSLV C-15 will put in orbit a total of five satellites – India’s Cartosat-2B, Algeria’s ALSAT-2A, NLS 6.1 and NLS 6.2 nano satellites of Canada and STUDSAT, a satellite built by Indian students.
Earlier this month, ISRO-launched GSLV-D3 rocket using indigenous cryogenic technology for the first time, had failed in its mission. The rocket was carrying the GSAT-4 communications satellite.
