Russia, Italy to stage military exercises in 2011
The decision was made during the seventh round of Russian-Italian interstate consultations in the Black Sea resort of Sochi.

MOSCOW (BNS): Russian Defense Ministry spokeswoman Irina Kovalchuk on Friday said that Russia and Italy will hold joint Navy and Army exercise in2011.
According to a news report by RIA Novosti, the decision was made during the seventh round of Russian-Italian interstate consultations in the Black Sea resort of Sochi.
Russian Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov, and his Italian counterpart Ignazio La Russa, agreed to the military exercises, the report said.
They also discussed other aspects of bilateral military cooperation, including the drafting of an intergovernmental agreement on the prevention of incidents at sea.
A timetable for the exercises will be announced later.
