Commander of UAE Navy on three-day India visit

Maj Gen Humaid Mohammed Abdullah Alremeithi, Commander of UAE Naval Forces, is on a two-day official visit to India to strengthen maritime cooperation and bilateral ties between the two countries.

NEW DELHI (BNS): Maj. Gen. Humaid Mohammed Abdullah Alremeithi, Commander of UAE Naval Forces (UAEN), is on a three-day official visit to India from July 7 to 9 to strengthen maritime cooperation and bilateral ties. 

His visit features high level discussions and operational interactions in New Delhi.

The visit began on Tuesday, 08 July, with Maj Gen Alremeithi laying wreath at the National War Memorial to pay tribute to India’s bravehearts who made supreme sacrifice in the line of duty. 

This was followed by a ceremonial Guard of Honour and a bilateral meeting with Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, Chief of the Naval Staff, where “discussions focused on enhancing naval engagements, structured training engagements, and maritime cooperation,” according to an official statement issued here.  

The UAE Navy Chief also interacted with the Chief of the Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan.

“The visit of Maj Gen Humaid Mohammed Abdullah Alremeithi marks a key milestone in India-UAE naval relations, aimed at deepening cooperation and promoting shared interests in the Indian Ocean Region,” the official statement added.
