Era Group orders 10 AW139 helicopters of AugustaWestland
Era Group Inc. will buy10 AW139 medium twin helicopters from AugustaWestland for its offshore transport missions.

NEW DELHI (BNS): Era Group Inc will buy 10 AW139 medium twin helicopters of AugustaWestland to perform offshore transport missions, a media report said.
Era Group boasts a large AgustaWestland fleet on Tuesday including 22 AW119Ke single engines, 7 AW109 Power light twin and 17 AW139 helicopters.
"With this latest purchase AgustaWestland confirms its increasingly important presence in one of the most challenging markets and its capability to meet the very latest requirements for operators in the most relevant oil & gas exploitation regions, where the AW139 further strengthens its position as the best selling medium twin helicopter." Defense aerospace website quoted Giuseppe Orsi, CEO, AgustaWestland as saying.
The AW139 is a new generation medium twin-engine helicopter with unmatched performance, capacity and safety. It also meets the stringent civil and government certification standards, including the FAA and JAA FAR/JAR Part 29 requirements.
The company is primarily operating in the oil-rich waters of the Gulf of Mexico. It offers offshore transport, pipeline surveillance and other services in many countries including the Gulf of Mexico and Alaska.
