Vice Chief of Naval Staff visits BrahMos at DefExpo 2020


Vice Admiral G Ashok Kumar, Vice Chief of Naval Staff, Indian Navy being briefed about the BRAHMOS weapon system on display at DefExpo 2020.

LUCKNOW (BNS): Vice Admiral G Ashok Kumar, Vice Chief of Naval Staff, Indian Navy visited BrahMos Aerospace pavilion during the ongoing DefExpo 2020 event held in Lucknow.

He was briefed about the versatile BRAHMOS supersonic cruise missile system which is being displayed in its land, sea, underwater and air configurations at the five day mega event organised by the Defence Ministry of India.

The multi-role, multi-mission BRAHMOS has been operationalised in all three services of Indian Armed Forces.

As many as 451 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and agreements worth Rs 1.53 lakh crore were signed during the Defence Expo or DefExpo 2022 at Gandhinagar, a senior official said. During the valedictory function of the 12th edition of DefExpo at the Mahatma Mandir convention centre, Defence Secretary Ajay Kumar informed the audience that it had broken previous records in terms of business generation.
