Russia launches Progress M-08M on supply mission to ISS

BAIKONUR (BNS): Russia has successfully launched its Progress M-08M cargo spacecraft on a supply mission to the International Space Station (ISS).

A Soyuz-U rocket, carrying the spacecraft, lifted off from the Baikonur Space Center in Kazakhstan at 7.11 Moscow time (15:11 GMT) on Wednesday, Russian space agency Roscosmos said.

The rocket successfully orbited the cargo vehicle few minutes later.

The Progress, carrying different supplies including fuel, water, oxygen and other scientific equipment, is slated to dock to the ISS at 8.40 Moscow time on October 30.
