Indian shipyard delivers supply vessel to Germany

KOCHI (PTI): Cochin Shipyard Ltd has delivered another Platform Supply Vessel to NFC Offshore GmbH of Germany.

This is the third vessel delivered to the same owner, CSL said in a press release on Tuesday.

The protocol documents of the ship, 'Hellespont Defiance' were signed by CSL Executive Director V Radhakrishnan and M/S NFC Offshore's Michael B Kennedy.

The shipyard is presently constructing 17 offshore vessels for various foreign owners, besides developing Aircraft Carrier for the Indian Navy, the release said.

The yard is diversifying into higher ended ships with diesel electric propulsion and is likely to commence construction by the middle of next year. Various Indian and Foreign owners have shown interest in these high end ships.

These Platform supply vessels are of the popular UT 755 LN design for the offshore industry.
