KOCHI (PTI): Defence Secretary G Mohan Kumar held discussions with senior naval officials at the navy's two key centres in Kerala -- the Indian Naval Academy at Ezhimala andthe Southern Naval Command here -- during his two-day visit ending on Tuesday.
During his Kochi visit, Kumar interacted with Vice Admiral Sunil Lanba, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Naval Command and held discussions with senior officers of the Command, a Navy release said.
The Defence Secretary, who began his two day Kerala tour on Monday, visited various training establishments and facilities at Kochi and also attended the Onam celebrations function organised by the Southern Naval Command.
He also inspected the Indigenous Aircraft Carrier Vikrant under construction at the Cochin Shipyard Ltd, here.
