ALLAHABAD (PTI): A Jaguar fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force (IAF) crashed on Tuesday while on a routine sortie near here, the second such incident this year.
Both the pilots had ejected, IAF officials said, adding efforts were on to find them.
The aircraft took off from the Allahabad base at 7:25 AM and crashed at around 8:47 AM nearly 18 kms from here.
A court of inquiry has been ordered, IAF officials said.
In March, another Jaguar aircraft had crashed in agricultural fields near Shahbad town in Haryana with the pilot ejecting safely from the plane.
