MOSCOW (BNS): Russia and Vietam have recently signed a contract worth $450 million to deliver another batch of 12 Su-30MK2 fighter aircraft.
The Sukhoi Su-30s are expected to be delivered to Vietnam in 2014 to 2015, a Ria Novosti news report said.
Vietnam had received a total of 20 Su-30 fighter jets from two previous contracts signed with Russia in 2009 and 2010, it said.
The Su-30MK2 is an advanced two-seat version of the Su-27 Flanker multirole fighter with upgraded electronics and capability to launch anti-ship missiles, it added.
