KOCHI (PTI): Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Naval Command, Vice Admiral SPS Cheema has been appointed as the next Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Western Naval Command on the retirement of the present incumbent Vice Admiral A K Chopra, a Navy release said here Monday.
The Admiral was commissioned into the Indian Navy on January 1, 1977.
He is a graduate of the National Defence Academy (NDA), Khadakwasala, The Defence Services Staff College (DSSC), Wellington and the College of Naval Warfare (CNW), Mumbai.
