BENGALURU (BNS): BRAHMOS - world's most versatile supersonic cruise missile system arming the Indian Armed Forces - is being displayed at the 12th edition of Aero India 2019 which opens today in Bengaluru.

BrahMos Aerospace – the India-Russia Joint Venture producing the ‘universal’ precision strike weapon - is showcasing the land, sea, sub-sea and air-launched variants of BRAHMOS at the mega event.

The advanced BRAHMOS air-launched cruise missile (ALCM) which underwent its maiden successful flight test on 22nd Nov 2017 from the Indian Air Force's Su-30MKI strike fighter,  thereby creating a world-record feat, is the most prominent attraction at the Air Show.

A modified variant of the original BRAHMOS configuration, BRAHMOS ALCM has emerged as a powerful weapon in terms of its range, lethality and effectiveness among conventional air-borne weapons world over.

The BRAHMOS-Su-30MKI has become the deadliest weapon-platform combination having the invincible capability to attack ship and land targets from air from stand-off ranges.

BrahMos Aerospace is also displaying the indigenously designed and developed BRAHMOS airborne launcher – the largest in the world – at the aero show.

BRAHMOS-NG – the new futuristic smaller, smarter, sleeker and stealthier version of existing BRAHMOS – is also being exhibited. The new weapon promises to arm a wider number of modern military platforms, including India’s indigenously developed LCA Tejas fighter aircraft.
