NEW DELHI (PTI): A two-day Unified Commanders' Conference will be held here beginning June 25 to discuss measures to enhance cooperation among the armed forces.
The conference, to be inaugurated by Defence Minister A K Antony, would mainly discuss combined operations among the three armed forces and bringing out improvements in their joint doctrine.
"Focus during the conference would be mainly on fine-tuning the joint doctrine of the armed forces," Defence Ministry officials said Tuesday.
The Chiefs of the three services along with Chief of Integrated Staff to Chairman, Chiefs of Staff Committee (CISC), Commander-in-Chief of the Andaman and Nicobar Command, Strategic Forces Command, and Commandants of tri-services Institutions will also attend the conference.
Chairman, Chiefs of Staffs Committee and Navy Chief Admiral Sureesh Mehta is also expected to address the conference.
