FALLS CHURCH (BNS): US Army has awarded an approx $224 million contract to Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), for providing technical and engineering support for its Aviation and Missile Research Development and Engineering Center (AMRDEC).
The five-year task order was awarded under the US Army Aviation and Missile Command’s Expedited Professional and Engineering Support Services blanket purchase agreement.
CSC received the award during its fiscal 2011 first quarter.
Under the contract, CSC will provide technical and engineering services in the areas of integration, computer, navigation and control technologies, electronics and system design of US Army.
“We look forward to continuing our support of the US Army and the war-fighter through technology and weapon system solutions to ensure the highest quality mission support to soldiers on the battlefield," Randy Cash, vice president and general manager of CSC’s North American Public Sector Huntsville Alabama Operations, said in a CSC news release.
AMRDEC is a subordinate laboratory of US Army for the Research, Development and Engineering Command of its aviation and missile platforms.
