MARIETTA, GEORGIA (BNS): The US Air Force has taken delivery of two MC-130J Commando II aircraft.
The air force crews ferried the aircraft assigned to Air Force Special Operations Command from the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics facility on 5 December.
These aircraft will be operated by the 352nd Special Operations Group and will be based at Royal Air Force Mildenhall England.
Formerly known as the Combat Shadow II, the Commando II supports such missions as in-flight refueling, infiltration/exfiltration, and aerial delivery and resupply of special operations forces.
