BANGALORE (PTI): Defence Research and Development Organisation is in dialogue with Indian Air Force to take part in upgradation programmes involving MiG-29 and Mirage-2000, its Chief M Natarajan said today.
Speaking at an international seminar here, Natarajan, also Scientific Advisor to Defence Minister, said DRDO has its contributions in areas of avionics, electronics warfare architecture and hardwares in Sukhoi supersonic fighter and MiG-27 upgradation programmes.
"It (DRDO) is in discussion with Indian Air Force for similar upgradation programmes in MiG-29 and possibly Mirage-2000", he said.
Natarajan also said DRDO is working towards configuring a medium combat aircraft with stealth features and a medium-range, long endurance, high altitude unmanned aerial vehicle.
