Su-30 fighter jet crashes in Russia

MOSCOW (PTI): A Russian Su-30 fighter jet Tuesday crashed during a test flight in the Far East region, similar to that being operated by India and China.

The jet crashed 130 km northeast of Komsomolsk-on-Amur during a test flight this morning, Russian news agency Ria Novosti reported.

According to preliminary reports, there were two pilots on board and they ejected safely.

The multirole combat aircraft is operated by India, China and Russia and belonged to the Komsomolsk-on-Amur factory where Su-30s are manufactured.
