KUALA LUMPUR (BNS): Italian firm Selex ES of Finmeccanica group has inked a deal with Malaysia's aerospace firm Airod Sdn Bhd (ASB) for the supply and support of equipment for the Royal Malaysian Navy Super Lynx MK100 helicopters.
The deal was signed during the ongoing Defence Services Asia (DSA) exhibition in Kuala Lumpur on April 14.
The three-year contract entails supply of spares and support for the Lynx MK100 helicopter sensors, specifically the Guardian 2500 electronic support measures, the Seaspray 3600 surveillance radar and the multi mission turret, Selex said.
The Malaysian Navy is operating a fleet of six Super Lynx helicopters since 2004.
