Samtel Thales Avionics JV is officially incorporated

BANGALORE (BNS): Samtel Display System and Thales Avionics SA have officially announced their new JV Company, Samtel Thales Avionics Ltd.

"This is a key step for Thales in India and its ambitious development plan, actively encouraged by the Indian Defence Ministry." said Yves oannic, Vice President in charge of Thales Avionics Helicopter activities.

"Incorporation of Samtel Thales Avionics is an important step in our strategy to cater to the existing and future opportunities in the Indian Defence space. The coming together of Thale's proven technologies and Samtel's Indian experience is sure to create positive synergies that will strengthen the industry," Puneet kaura, executive Director, Samtel Display Systems said.

The company will mainly focus on the design systems for the Indian Air Forces' helicopters and fighters.

The JV Company Samtel Thales Avionics will also locally develop customize, manufacture, sell and maintain indigenous Helmet-Mounted Sight and Display Systems and modern Avionic system for the Indian and export defence market.
