LINKÖPING, SWEDEN (BNS): Defence company Saab has received an order worth 127 MSEK ($19.6 million) from the Swedish Defence Ministry for the development of existing system of Gripen fighters.
The contract, awarded by the Swedish Defence Material Administration (FMV), entails development of the existing material system 39 (edition 19) of the multi-role fighters.
The order consists of development work and modification material to subsystems in Gripen C/D fighters, Saab said.
The work will be carried out in 2011 and 2012, it said.
