MOSCOW (BNS): Russia may start tests for its fifth generation T-50 fighter aircraft in July, in the Chkalov state flight test center in Akhtubinsk, Astrakhan Region in south Russia, Air Force Commander Lt. Gen. Viktor Bondarev said.
"The test may start in two months and the first serial fifth-generation jet may be manufactured in 2014-2015," Lt. Gen. Viktor Bondarev was quoted as saying by RIA Novosti.
The T-50 aircraft features elements of stealth technology, super-manoeuvrability, super-cruise capability.

The supersonic fifth generation PAK-FA T-50 with a range of 5,500 km is scheduled to enter service with the Russian Air Force in 2016. India is partnering with Russia in developing the warplanes for its air force.
Bondarev also said some 60-70 military airfields will be built or reconstructed for Russia's Air Force by 2020.
