Russian Knights attracts crowd at Aero India 2013


The Russian Air Force aerobatics team Russian Knights in Su-27 fighter aircraft perform during the 4th day of Aero India 2013 at Yelahanka Airbase.

BANGALORE (BNS): Russian Knights showed their mettle in the Aero India 2013 by showcasing spectacular aerobatic performance at high speeds in their Sukhoi Su-27s.

It is the maiden performance of the Russian Knights and they charmed the audiences by exhibiting a scintillating aerial ballet with four of the five Su-27s.

The team fascinated the onlookers with their risky, crisp and stunning mid-air complex manoeuvres at the show.

The Russian Knights are the Russian Air Force aerobatic display team flying Sukhoi SU-27 and Su-27UB fighters. The team normally uses four SU-27 fighters for their aerial demonstrations. All team members are drawn from the 237th Guards Proskurov Aircraft Demonstration Center based in Kubinka Air Base, near Moscow.
