MOSCOW (BNS): The Russian Air Force is planning to procure around 30 Kamov Ka-226 light utility helicopters by 2020, Defence Ministry said.
"Russia will receive four Ka-226 helicopters by the end of January and we plan to buy 30 of them by 2020," Defense Ministry spokesman Vladimir Drik, said in a RIA Novosti news report.
The Kamov Ka-226 is a small, twin-engined Russian utility helicopter. The Ka-226 features an interchangeable mission pod, rather than a conventional cabin, allowing the use of various accommodation or equipment configurations.
