MOSCOW (PTI): The Russian Air Force may buy foreign drones, the commander-in-chief of the Air Force, Colonel-General Alexander Zelin, told reporters on Tuesday.
"I don't rule out the purchase of foreign drones that can be used in the interest of Russia's armed forces," he said.
"Taking into account experience of the United States in Pakistan and Israel we realize what demands are set for the drones," Zelin said.
He also stressed that Russia needs to upgrade military assets to avert threats in the aerospace sphere. "Until 2030 leading foreign countries will get on service principally new military means and systems - supersonic and aerospace vehicles, reconnaissance-strike complexes and weapons on the new physical principles," Zelin said.
"Thus, the Air Force of foreign countries, mainly the US, will get an opportunity to deliver coordinated high-precision attacks on the global scale practically on all targets on the territory of the Russian Federation," he said.
