MOSCOW (BNS): Russia will continue delivery of engines for the United States carrier rockets despite sanctions imposed by Washington on Moscow over the Ukrainian crisis, a news report said.
Russian news agency RIA Novosti quoting Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin said, Moscow will continue to work with the US on projects that are lucrative for Russia.
"At present, the sales of engines for Atlas and Antares rockets in the United States favour Russia as the profits go directly for technological modernisation of Russian enterprises producing the engines," he was quoted as saying.
The United States uses Russian-made NK-33 and RD-180 engines to power their fleet of Atlas and Antares space rockets.
The US and EU have imposed sanctions on Russian individuals and businesses in response to the annexation of Crimea and the crisis in eastern Ukraine.
