The Mi-35 Hind E is an improved version of the famed Mi-24 attack helicopter.
MOSCOW (BNS): Russia has delivered the next batch of three Mi-35M Hind E attack helicopters to Brazil, according to a news report.
A Ria Novosti news agency report said, the latest three machines were delivered on August 29.
"Brazil will receive the remaining three helicopters before the end of the year and the 2008 contract will be completed," the report quoting Igor Korotchenko, head of the Moscow-based Centre for Analysis of Global Arms Trade, said.
Russia had won a contract worth $150 million in 2008 to deliver a total of 12 helicopters to the Latin American country.
The Mi-35 Hind E is an improved export version of the famed Mi-24 attack helicopter, which combines high fire power with a troop transport capability. The helicopters are equipped with weapons guidance systems and anti-tank missiles on board.
