MOSCOW (BNS): Russia and Britain are planning to strengthen their military bonds and increase cooperation between two nations, a regional media reported.
According to RIA Novosti, Russia will expand the bilateral ties between both nations, Russian General Staff Gen. Nikolai Makarov said while meeting his UK counterpart Gen. David Richards, who is on a four day visit to Russia.
"We had a close look at the reasons that prevented us from developing bilateral ties the way we wanted them to be...and how we can bring our cooperation to a new level," he said.
The British General said that the two nations will strengthen their bond over military ties and appreciated Russia's contribution to the NATO war effort in Afghanistan.
