BENGALURU (PTI): Dr K Maheswara Reddy has been appointed as the Director of Defence Avionics Research Establishment (DARE).
DARE is a premier establishment of DRDO carrying out research to equip Indian Armed Forces with State of the Art Airborne Electronic Warfare and Avionics systems.
Reddy is responsible for developing various radar, laser and missile warners, electronic support and electronic attack systems for fighter, transport and helicopter platforms, DRDO said in a statement.
Reddy is a recipient of DRDO performance excellence award for different RWR (Radar warning receiver) development in the years 2007 and 2009, and Scientist of the Year award in the year 2010 from DRDO, it added.
