TEWKSBURY, MASSACHUSETTS (BNS): Raytheon Company has received a USD 109 million Engineering Services contract for its Patriot Air and Missile Defence System.
Under this contract, the system analysis, software development, testing and logistics support, and other country-specific system requirements work will be performed by Raytheon in Andover, Tewksbury, Huntsville, and White Sands, according to the company news release.
Patriot air and missile defence system provides protection against a full range of advanced threats, including aircraft, tactical ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles.
The contract, issued by the US Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Alaska, is for ongoing technical support and services to the US Army and Foreign Military Sale customers to ensure readiness of their Patriot systems.
Raytheon is the prime contractor for both domestic and international Patriot Air and Missile Defence Systems and system integrator for Patriot Advanced Capability-3 missiles.
