TEWKSBURY (BNS): Raytheon has received a $15.7 million contract from the US Army to provide material and technical services in support of the Patriot Missile Field Surveillance Programme.
Under the contract, the defence firm will continue to support the manufacture, assembly and testing of Patriot missiles through 2013.
The latest contract is a follow-on to a three-year contract previously awarded to Raytheon in January 2008.
“This work supports all Patriot customers, US and our 11 international partners, who have selected the combat-proven Patriot as the foundation of their air and missile defense strategy,” Sanjay Kapoor, vice president for Patriot Programmes at Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems (IDS), said.
Raytheon IDS is the prime contractor for both domestic and international Patriot Air and Missile Defense Systems and system integrator for Patriot Advanced Capability-3 missiles.
