NEW DELHI (PTI): Minister of State for Defence Rao Inderjit Singh will represent India at the Shangri-la Dialogue in Singapore which will focus on security in Asia-Pacific region.
Singh will attend the 14th IISS Asia Security Summit in Singapore from May 29-31, Ministry of Defence spokesperson Sitanshu Kar said.
The Shangri-La Dialogue is an inter-governmental security forum held annually by an independent think-tank, the International Institute for Strategic Studies, and is attended by Defence Ministers, permanent heads of ministries and military chiefs of 28 Asia-Pacific countries.
Those who are expected to attend this year include US Defence Secretary Ashton Carter, Japanese Minister of Defence Gen Nakatani and German Defence Minister who is flying out from India.
