The Bell 412EP helicopters of Pakistan Army
WASHINGTON (BNS): The Government of Pakistan has requested a possible sale of up to thirty BELL 412EP helicopters from US Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA).
Under the $397 million contract, US DSCA will provide spare and repair parts, support equipment, ferry services, US Government and contractor logistics, engineering, technical support services and other associated equipment and services.
US DSCA has notified congress for the possible military sale of the helicopters under the Foreign Military Sale (FMS) programme.
The Bell 412EP helicopters will increase Pakistan’s air capabilities to execute counterinsurgency operations, border security, search and rescue, and support for the civilian population in Pakistan.
The Pakistan Army already has Bell 412EP Helicopters in its inventory and it will not face any difficulty to dwell these additional helicopters into its armed forces.
