ANKARA, TURKEY (BNS): Turkish Aerospace Industries has delivered the last four F-16 aircraft to Pakistan Air Force (PAF) at a ceremony held at TAI's facilities in Ankara.
The Pakistan Ministry of Defence awarded the contract to TAI for the avionics and structural modernisation of 41 F-16s under Pakistan Air Force F-16 modernisation programme in 2009.
TAI said the Pakistan Air Force personnel have been given on-the-job training and they also participated in the work performed at TAI facilities.
Many dignitaries were present at the ceremony including Pakistan Air Force Deputy Chief of Staff (Operations) Air Marshal Sohail Aman, Pakistan Ambassador HE Muhammad Haroon Shaukat, Turkish Air Force Chief of Staff Lt.Gen. Mehmet Şanver, it said.
