ISLAMABAD (PTI): A Pakistan Air Force (PAF) aircraft on Monday crashed during a routine training flight in the restive north-western Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
The incident occurred in Zaida village of Swabi district.
"A K-8 trainer aircraft was destroyed in the crash, while both pilots ejected safely," PAF spokesperson Air Commodore SM Ali said.
The pilots of the aircraft ejected safely. No loss of civilian life or property was reported on the ground.
Ali said a board of inquiry has been ordered to determine the cause of the accident.
PAF training aircraft often meet accidents.
Earlier this month, an army helicopter ferrying foreign envoys and their spouses crashed into a school in Gilgit's scenic Naltar Valley, killing at least eight people.
Last month, a PAF Mirage aircraft crashed in Balochistan during a routine training mission.
