OSHKOSH (BNS): Oshkosh Defence will unveil its MRAP All-Terrain Vehicle (M-ATV) Multi-Mission Vehicle (MMV) equipped with Raytheon’s tube-launched, optically-tracked, wire-guided (TOW) weapon system in AUSA Winter 2011 at Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The M-ATV has the capability to take the TOW system beyond forward operating bases and into mountainous especially in challenging landscapes and places like Afghanistan.

"The exceptional tactical mobility that the M-ATV family of vehicles affords the armed forces has led to new opportunities to provide support in other capacities, including weapon systems," Ken Juergens, vice president and general manager of Joint Programmes for Oshkosh Defence, said.

The TOW system is a long-range precision weapon system used on ground, vehicle and helicopter platforms. The M-ATV MMV variant is designed to support missile-carrier, reconnaissance and command-and-control operations.
