To highlight the growing prospects in the naval and maritime sector, India will host the first edition of Naval and Maritime Expo-2013 (NAMEXPO): A Premier Naval and Maritime Exposition and Conference, at the Kochin Port Trust, Kerala from 23rd to 27th September, 2013.
The exhibition will be organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in partnership with the Indian Navy and with the support of Government of Kerala. NAMEXPO will have a larger participation from the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME).
The event will showcase a wide array of naval products and systems including naval aviation, shipborne and coastal equipment, commercial shipbuilding and propulsion systems among others. It will provide a grand opportunity to the global maritime industry to showcase the latest naval technological advancements before the world's fastest emerging maritime market.
Australia, Denmark, France, Germany, Japan, Russia, Sweden, South Africa, Singapore, US, UK, UAE and Vietnam will take part in the expo which will also organise an "International Conference on Indian Naval and Maritime Industry in Indian Sector" as part of the event.
