THIRUVANANTHAPURAM (BNS): Defence Minister A K Antony inaugurated a missile integration complex at BrahMos Aerospace Thiruvananthapuram Limited (BATL) here on 14 November 2012.
The new complex is the second such unit where BRAHMOS supersonic cruise missile systems will be produced.
Jointly developed by India and Russia, the BRAHMOS supersonic cruise missile has a flight range of up to 290 km and is capable of carrying a conventional warhead of 300 kg. The missile can cruise at a maximum speed of 2.8 Mach.
