MOSCOW (AFP/PTI): Russia rejects any "crude" compromise deal with the United States on missile deployments after Washington dropped its planned defence shield in eastern Europe, President Dmitry Medvedev was quoted as saying by Russian news agencies, Friday.

"If our partners hear some of our worries, we will be equally attentive to theirs," Medvedev said in an interview with Swiss media ahead of a state visit next week, the agencies reported.

"That means no compromises or primitive deals," he added when questioned about any concessions that Russia may have made in return for the end of the Star Wars defence shield which the Kremlin had strongly opposed.
