Marking 16 glorious years of its journey, BrahMos Aerospace celebrates "BrahMos Day"


NEW DELHI (BNS): Marking 16 glorious years of its existence and highlighting the deep-rooted strategic partnership between India and Russia, BrahMos Aerospace is commemorating "BrahMos Day" on 12th June, 2014.

Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, former President of India, will inaugurate the grand event which will also host dignitaries from India and Russia, including from the defence industry.

The India-Russia Joint Venture Programme which has produced the best supersonic cruise missile system BRAHMOS has achieved innumerous 'Firsts' in the world, making the missile an ultimate weapon of choice for the Indian armed forces.

Dr. Kalam will launch an all-new simulation centre for the BRAHMOS Air Version.

The former President will unveil "BrahMos Technical Compendium" - a concise treatise on the technicalities and challenges that ultimately gave birth to BRAHMOS.

Alongside, he will also launch a book titled "BRAHMOS: The Path Unexplored" penned by Dr. A S Pillai, CEO & MD of BrahMos Aerospace.

Dr. Kalam will present BrahMos awards to employees of the Company for their dedicated service and outstanding performance. He will also award school and university students for winning the Science & Tech Quest 2014 themed on "Innovative Ideas on Sci & Tech".

A seminar on "Military Industry Complex" will be organized as part of the event with the panelists deliberating on various aspects of India's defence industrial growth.
