Manufacturing Technology Transfer Agreement of Small turbo Fan Engine for BATL being received by VAdm (Retd). N N Kumar, Executive Director (Production), BrahMos Aerospace, from Dr. Subhash Bhamre, Minister of State for Defece in the presence of Defence Minister Smt Nirmala Sitharaman at DEFEXPO India 2018.

THIRUVIDANTHAI, TAMIL NADU (BNS): The Manufacturing Technology Transfer Agreement of small turbo-fan engine for BATL was handed over by Union Minister of State for Defence Dr. Subhash Bhamre to VAdm (Retd). N N Kumar, Executive Director (Production), BrahMos Aerospace, Hyderabad, during the ongoing DefExpo 18 exhibition being held near Chennai.

The high-end, state-of-the-art turbo fan engine has been designed for strategic applications with pioneering efforts made by GTRE and BATL.

As many as 451 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and agreements worth Rs 1.53 lakh crore were signed during the Defence Expo or DefExpo 2022 at Gandhinagar, a senior official said. During the valedictory function of the 12th edition of DefExpo at the Mahatma Mandir convention centre, Defence Secretary Ajay Kumar informed the audience that it had broken previous records in terms of business generation.
