FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA (BNS): The US Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) has awarded a follow-on contract to ManTech International Corporation for the engineering and technical services for combat identification and air-traffic control systems.
The award from the US Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division is for five years and is valued at $24 million.
"ManTech has more than 18 years of experience providing engineering and technical support to Combat Identification and Air Traffic Control systems in support of the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division," Terry M. Ryan, president and chief operating officer of ManTech's Systems Engineering and Advanced Technology group, was quoted as saying in the company news report.
According to the contract, ManTech will continue to provide a wide variety of engineering and technical services in support of combat identification and air-traffic control systems, including design, development, integration, test and evaluation, installation, fielding, certification, maintenance and logistics support.
NAWCAD supports research, development, test, evaluation, engineering and fleet support of US Navy and US Marine Corps air vehicle systems and trainers. NAWCAD is the steward of the ranges, test facilities, laboratories and aircraft necessary to support naval acquisition requirements.
