WASHINGTON (BNS): Lockheed Martin has received a $726 million contract extension from US Air Force to support the F-22 stealth aircraft for 2011.
US Wright-Patterson Air Force Base on Thursday has announced the contract from its Aeronautical Systems Center.
The company is currently the prime contractor for the development, manufacture, modernisation and sustainment of the F-22 aircraft.
The company has decided to halt the production of the F-22 Raptor by 2012.
