Lockheed Martin showcases its aircraft capabilities at Aero India

BANGALORE (BNS): US aerospace major Lockheed Martin has showcased its C-130J "Super" Hercules, F-16IN Super Viper aircraft and there promising features at the ongoing International air show in Bangalore.

Lockheed Martin has also highlighted the advances in its portfolio of combat-proven, precision engagement and targeting systems including Sniper, Apache Systems, Arrowhead, HELLFIRE II, DAGR and PAC-3 Missile.

“The F-16IN Super Viper is the Ultimate 4th Generation fighter with latest technologies and capabilities, it can be the right choice for the Indian Air Force,” Lockheed Martin top official told reporters at the aero show.

When asked about the capabilities of F-16 as a contender for the MMRCA deal, the official said, “F-16 has the best technology and capabilities, and over nine countries has substantially accepted the aircraft.”

Indian Air Force has recently commissioned C-130J "Super" Hercules into the newly formed 77 Squadron on February 5th 2011.
