ABU DHABI (BNS): Iraq has signed a contract worth more than $13 billion with the United States, according to a news report.
The money will be used to buy aircraft, helicopters, tanks, other armoured vehicles, warships and missiles, to enter service with the Iraqi defense by 2013, a Ria Novosti report said.
The report also said more armaments will be bought later with another $13 billion.
Iraqi Defense Ministry spokesman, Major General Mohammed Al Askari , was quoted as saying that Iraq has already concluded a contract worth more than $13 billion with the United States.
