Iran building new fighter jets

TEHRAN (BNS): The Iranian defence industry is designing and developing new fighter jets, according to Defence Minister Ahmad Vahidi.

The Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) quoting Brigadier General Vahidi said, the Iranian Air Force is cooperating in manufacture of the new military aircraft with Defense Ministry experts.

He said, designing and manufacture of jet fighters such as Azarakhsh, Saeqeh and other new airplanes shows the genius, knowledge and domestic technology, and progress of Iran's defence industries.

The Brigadier General also announced that a new submarine equipped with state-of-the-art technology and advanced weapons, high maneuver capabilities and suitable underwater operation capabilities would be delivered to the navy.
