KOLKATA (PTI): An Indian Army contingent have reached Dhaka to participate in the India-Bangladesh joint military exercise 'Sampriti-2016'.

Sixth in the series of joint exercises, this edition is being conducted at Bangabandhu Senanibas (BBS) at Tangail from November 5 to November 18 with a focus on counter terrorism and counter insurgency operations in semi mountainous and jungle terrain, an official release issued here said.

Subsequently, soldiers from both the armies will undertake execution of joint tactical operations like Cordon and Search, Road Opening, Raid and House Clearance," the release said.
