Indian Army Chief visits BrahMos pavilion

LUCKNOW (BNS): Indian Army Chief Gen. Manoj Mukund Naravane visited BrahMos Aerospace pavilion at DefExpo 2020 which began today at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.

Gen. Naravane was briefed about the formidable BRAHMOS Weapon System by BrahMos Chief Dr. Sudhir K Mishra. The Chief of Army Staff was apprised of all major achievements and developments related to the world-class supersonic cruise missile programme.

The Indian Army has successfully operationalised the land-attack BRAHMOS variant in the advanced Block I, II and III configurations having distinct capabilities to undertake modern, complex land warfare operations.

Jointly developed by India and Russia, BRAHMOS has established its supremacy as the world’s fastest and most versatile precision strike weapon to annihilate land and sea-based enemy positions.

As many as 451 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and agreements worth Rs 1.53 lakh crore were signed during the Defence Expo or DefExpo 2022 at Gandhinagar, a senior official said. During the valedictory function of the 12th edition of DefExpo at the Mahatma Mandir convention centre, Defence Secretary Ajay Kumar informed the audience that it had broken previous records in terms of business generation.
