NEW DELHI (PTI): India and the European Commission have decided to collaborate closely to match their aviation regulatory systems and implement new technology-based services for a smooth air traffic flow between the two regions.
The decision was taken at a two-day symposium on Air Traffic Management (ATM), which concluded here Tuesday, during which views were exchanged on Indian and European initiatives on issues like regulatory frameworks and modernisation of ATM, official sources said.
The two sides decided to cooperate on issues like how to deliver a safe, efficient and effective ATM service for both domestic and inter-regional traffic.
The participants, who included top aviation officials from India and EU, held discussions on capacity building in the fields of safety and quality of navigation services, including capacity, flight efficiency, delays and related costs, the sources said.
