India should equip itself with state-of-the-art weapon systems: AK Antony

NEW DELHI (BNS): Defence Minister interacted with press focusing on nation's defence plans and defence procurement procedure. Defence ministry will equip the armed forces with state-of -the -art weapon system.

Defence Minister interacted with the media during the Defexpo 2010 Press Conference at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.

AK Antony said, “Both public and private sectors must work hard together to equip the Indian armed forces with state-of-the-art weapon systems. It should be a new momentum to indigenisation.”

He also said that the Govt. is continuously upgrading its defence procurement procedures. “This year we will focus on new policies concerning the Defence procurement Procedures (DPP) and Defence Production.”
