NEW DELHI (BNS): Defence Minister interacted with press focusing on nation's defence plans and defence procurement procedure. Defence ministry will equip the armed forces with state-of -the -art weapon system.

Defence Minister interacted with the media during the Defexpo 2010 Press Conference at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.

AK Antony said, �Both public and private sectors must work hard together to equip the Indian armed forces with state-of-the-art weapon systems. It should be a new momentum to indigenisation.�

He also said that the Govt. is continuously upgrading its defence procurement procedures. �This year we will focus on new policies concerning the Defence procurement Procedures (DPP) and Defence Production.�
