The sixth International Maritime Defence Show (IMDS) will be held from 3rd to 7th July 2013, in St. Petersburg, Russia.
IMDS is organised with the objective of providing a common platform for the marine industry and ranks among the three world leading naval equipment and weapons exhibitions.
The biennial naval exhibition is organised by the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade and supported by the Defence Ministry, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Federal Service of Military-Technical Cooperation, the Government of Saint-Petersburg and Rosoboronexport.
The exhibits profile includes: naval and commercial shipbuilding, power plants, complexes of naval armament and weapon, navigation, communication and control, naval aviation, location and logistic infrastructure, new materials and technologies.
Besides the international exhibition, the event will consist of scientific conference, simulation and complex modelling in marine engineering and marine transporting systems. Traditionally, as part of IMDS-2013, aerobatic teams Strizhy and Russkie Vityazi will demonstrate their flying skills.
